Texans Battle The TTC

Filed under: Texas, Politics, General — Troubled @ 5:21 pm

Howdy folks,

As everyone here knows the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC) is the first leg of the North American Union (NAU).

Without it, the TTC, the NAU cannot exist.

TEXANS BATTLE TTC

Throngs hit streets of Austin to rally against Trans-Texas Corridor

By Mark Anderson

TEXANS UNITING FOR REFORM and Freedom (TURF) marched up
Congress Avenue and held a big rally on the capitol steps in Austin April 5, short circuiting an apparent underhanded effort to suppress grassroots turnout against the proposed Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC).

This is the second straight year that ranchers and various other opponents have converged on Austin to passionately voice their opposition to the TTC, or NAFTA Superhighway, an invasive mega-tollway network that would carve out at least 584,000 acres of Texas land, forcing most landowners to sell their properties at a big loss.

With at least two main arteries (TTC-69 and TTC-35) and numerous offshoots, the overall TTC would have 4,000-plus miles of pavement in Texas alone—with its huge main sections about a quarter-mile wide, including rail and utility lines—and would fan out across the United States, forever changing the face of the nation.

The TTC actually is a transnational highway system for the contemplated North American Union, designed to meld Mexico, the U.S. and Canada together as one big, happy family.

According to a TURF news release provided before the rally, this organization had received calls from panicked TTC opponents who had heard some residents claim that TTC-69 has been stopped.

“Senate Finance Committee Chairman Senator Steve Ogden told Walker County Commissioner, B.J. Gaines, that the Trans Texas Corridor I-69 project is over, scrapped . . .” the news release stated. “The word is spreading like wildfire among elected officials in the path of TTC-69, including the mayor of Kendleton, just in time to tell constituents: ‘There’s no need to attend that rally in Austin this weekend since the TTC-69 project is over.’”

But TURF leader Terri Hall, a San Antonio resident who recently appeared on CNN’s Lou Dobbs national news program to explain the threat the TTC poses to land ownership and national sovereignty, noted that there’s no reason to believe the TTC has been scrapped.

“At this juncture, it’s naïve to believe word-one from politicians or TxDOT, an agency run amok, that is misusing our taxpayer money to lobby in favor of the TransTexas Corridor and prone to $1 billion in accounting errors. The TTC-69 public comment period isn’t even completed yet, and the environmental hearings were completed only weeks ago, and now they’re trying to convince taxpayers the project is dead? Who are they kidding?”

Hall told AFP that despite the apparent effort of Kendleton Mayor Carolyn Jones to suppress turnout, a delegation of perhaps a dozen people from that city attended the rally to protest the TTC. If ever completed, the TTC would set the stage for applying tolls to freeways, because freeways provide a non-toll alternative that could doom the TTC mega-tollway plan. The TTC would be operated by a Spanish firm known as Cintra that would reap the profits while partnering with U.S. politicians to ensure that eminent domain and law enforcement powers are wielded.

Hank Gilbert, TURF board member and rally coordinator, wants certifiable proof the TTC is dead, whenever that day may come. He was quoted as saying in the TURF news release: “The claim the TTC-69 project is over is an underhanded, 11th-hour dirty trick to sabotage the people’s right to protest this project, and we’re asking (that) every state law, every Transportation Commission Minute Order, every local Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and tolling authority plan authorizing the Trans Texas Corridor be immediately revoked in writing. Until that’s done, we’re pressing ahead. It’s clear we can’t trust a word that comes out of the mouths of TxDOT or politicians.”

The April 5 rally was well-attended. “It was great; it was several thousand people like last year,” said Hall, whose other group, the San Antonio Toll Party, held a meeting attended by AFP in January, where various plans were announced, including an ongoing effort to encourage anti-TCC, anti-toll candidates to run for public office at all levels.

The “Don’t Mess with Texas TURF, Stop the TTC & Tolls Rally” included various speakers, such as representatives of the Teamsters, Eagle Forum, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Oklahoma State Sen. Randy Brogdon (who passed legislation to stop the TTC from coming through his state), and local leaders, including Mae Smith, the mayor of Holland, Texas. She heads the state’s first-ever sub-regional Planning Commission.

That group seeks to put a roadblock in the way of TTC-35. Such local units, organized under state law, can help form a tighter network against the TTC. Rallies are all good and well, but they may or may not convince TTC-backers in the legislature and elsewhere to back down, said Mayor Smith. Therefore, as she told AFP, she formed the East-Central Regional Planning Commission in August of 2007.

On Jan. 31, 2008, Ms. Smith and the mayors of three other nearby cities in Bell County informed officials from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that the Texas Transportation Department (TxDOT), in their estimation, is skipping steps in the environmental impact study that is being carried out and includes public hearings across Texas.

AFP attended an early-February public hearing in McAllen, Tex., where local officials and others with a vested interest supported the TTC, but most of the citizens spoke against it or were skeptical. Many of the local officials, such as McAllen Mayor Mike Perez, believe that the TTC would help boost local economies. Smith observed that some major cities (McAllen is a large city on the Mexican border) may see some residual benefits, but the bigger picture is what matters, she said.

Smith—whose regional commission includes Holland businessman Ralph Snyder and a school board member from each town—says it’s vitally important for many more such commissions to form and band together to halt the TTC. But, to be fair, she added that anti-TTC people need to be ready to explain to TxDOT that there are legitimate alternatives, such as expanding existing freeways, that would be genuine infrastructure improvements.

Helping TxDOT re-focus its efforts would steer it away from pushing the TTC, which—if ever shoved into the “heart of Texas”—will usher in an even bigger invasion of Chinese/Asian goods, hauled via truck and rail into the U.S., starting at Mexican seaports and heading north—flooding the U.S. with even more sub-quality, often hazardous products (and onward to Canada).

The implications for consumer and public safety—with these shoddy products hauled in aboard often-substandard Mexican trucks—are enormous, along with the fact that the ongoing implementation of NAFTA that the TTC signals will continue to unravel the already critically ill American economy that needs its thrifty middle class restored if it’s ever to truly prosper.

With people such as Terri Hall, Mae Smith and several others keeping up the pressure, America has a chance. For, as many observers have noted, it is in Texas where the TTC’s funeral must be held. It cannot be allowed to take root there, lest the NAFTA network spread like a cancer across the nation, tearing asunder what little remains of U.S. manufacturing with the infusion of imports made by ultra-cheap labor, against which American goods cannot compete—since U.S. goods are saturated with huge tax and regulatory costs that stifle production and must be passed on to the consumer.

Such a Swell Guy - Bill O’Reilly

Filed under: Iraq, Politics, General — Troubled @ 4:05 pm

Howdy Folks,

I rememeber Bill from his Online Edition days. He was such a good news repeater in those days. Never any contraversies with “Ol Bill” then. He sat at a desk, faced the nation, and read verbatim from a teleprompter. Such a good news repeater.

Or not:

I had always wondered how the Bill from Online Edition turned out to be the Bill at The O’Reilly Factor.

I had assumed that the Bill on Online Edition was the true Bill and the Bill on The O’Reilley Factor was the fake Bill just trying to get tv ratings. I now see I was wrong.

The fake Bill was on Online Edition and the true Bill is on The O’Reilley Factor.

Per Wikipedia:

Andrea Mackris lawsuit

On October 13, 2004, O’Reilly filed a lawsuit against O’Reilly Factor producer Andrea Mackris, her lawyer Benedict P. Morelli, and Morelli’s law firm for extortion, contending Mackris had privately threatened to charge O’Reilly with sexual harassment unless he paid her more than $60 million (USD).[22] Later that same day, Mackris filed a complaint of sexual harassment against O’Reilly.[23][24] Her lawsuit claimed that O’Reilly subjected her to repeated instances of sexual harassment and spoke often, and explicitly, to her about phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity, and sexual fantasies. The specific quotations led to speculation that Mackris had recorded the conversations, though this has never been confirmed. O’Reilly never explicitly denied the conversations, even prior to their settlement, but he did deny engaging in any physical or sexual assaults or “offensive touching.” He also alleged that Mackris’ motives were only monetary and political in nature. According to newspaper reports, O’Reilly paid Mackris millions of dollars as part of a settlement, whereby both lawsuits were dismissed, but the terms of the agreement are confidential.[25] Mackris’ complaint also quoted O’Reilly as he described alleged retaliation by Fox towards anyone woman who sued Fox for sexual harassment or anyone else who posed a threat to Fox.

And then of course there’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann’s Worst Person in the World.

I can’t even begin to count how many times Bill has been at the top of Keith’s list.

On July 3, 2005 I wrote an article on the blog titled “Bill O’Reilly Needs to Put-Up or Shut-Up”

This was the e-mail I sent to Bill:

O’Reilly,

I recently read an article over at Yahoo! News titled Rumsfeld: Iraqis Must Defeat Insurgency.

In this article Rumsfeld stated that US soldiers could stay in Iraq for another twelve years.

The Iraq War is an illegal war forced on the US by you radical rightwingers so I’m asking you to put-up or shut-up.

Oops, I’m sorry you changed your political affillation to Independent didn’t you? According to Wikipedia that was about the time the Washington Post was going to expose your party affiliation as Republican.

All you have to do is volunteer to join the Army and be sent to Iraq. See how simple that is?

I noticed in your biography at BillOreilly.com there was no mention of you being a veteran; you know, somebody who’s already served their country.

I know, you’re probably thinking your advanced age, 55 years, would keep you out of the Army but that’s not necessarily true. They need all the grunts they can get, as you well know. Plus, as you well know, the Army has lowered their recruiting standards. Plus Plus, they’re offering bonuses.

What better way to show your undying Independent support?

In your Talking Points: Reaction to President Bush’s Iraq Speech dated 30 June 2005 you stated:

“I think it’s fair to give the military one more year to train the Iraqis to fight for themselves. If things are awful in Iraq this time next year, then it will be fair to say the Bush administration has failed in that country.”

What gives you the right to set the timetable? It’s already been over 2 years and over 1700 US troops dead and the debacle in Iraq is no better.

I think it’s fair for you to join the Army and deploy to Iraq for that year you’ve mentioned. Then, if your not dead by “this time next year” YOU can “say the Bush administration has failed in that country.”

Just email me when you go to sign up so I can get the scoop, ok?

Needless to say “Ol Bill” never joined the US Army and he never answered my email. What a coward.

I think he may have aquired one of those butt cysts that Rush Limbau aquired to stay out of the Vietnam War. That would explain it.

Minot/Barksdale ‘missing nukes’ Incident

Hey Ya’ll,

I know I didn’t post any articles when the ‘Nukes Went Missing’ last year.

The reason being, I’m a Munitions Systems Specialist. I know exactly how those nukes are to be handled. I waited for the George W. Admin. explanation and somebody from Minot AFB to come foward and explain what really happened.

“According to a wide range of reports, several nuclear bombs were “lost” for 36 hours after taking off August 29/30, 2007 on a “cross-country journey” across the U.S., from U.S.A.F Base Minot in North Dakota to U.S.A.F. Base Barksdale in Louisiana. Reportedly, in total there were six W80-1 nuclear warheads armed on AGM-129 Advanced Cruise Missiles (ACMs) that were “lost.” The story was first reported by the Military Times, after military servicemen leaked the story.”

You can read the entire article here: GlobalResearch.ca

‘According to official reports, the U.S. Air Force pilots did not know that they were carrying weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). Once in Louisiana, they also left the nuclear weapons unsecured on the runway for several hours.”

Sorry nimrods(George Dubya Admin.), when working with nukes you have the “No Lone Zone” concept, the “two man” concept, and everyone working with nukes is investigated, vetted and placed into the “Personal Reliability Program”.

“In other words, unauthorized removal of nuclear weapons would be virtually impossible to accomplish unless the chain of command were bypassed, involving, in this case, the deliberate tampering of the paperwork and tracking procedures.”

Enter Jack Carter, a pseudonym, from Minot AFB.

“The name we have given our source, Jack Carter, is a pseudonym. We have not yet met him, but have conducted extensive correspondence by e-mail. We are confident that he is exactly who he says he is: an experienced airman with extensive personal experience of nuclear weapons security procedures at Minot AFB.”

“From Jack: Jack Carter

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I will start this with a small amount of background that you will find interesting. I was born on __ _____, 19__. I grew up in ______.

When I was in leadership school at _____ somewhere around 19__, I had the privilege of having a conversation with _____ who at the time was our Wing Commander. Since I had a Top Secret clearance, I was told that we had already put a weapons platform in space. I never followed up on that. But felt that he had told me the truth.

I worked as a munitions controller at _____. We worked in a room (control room) (mine) that was locked and was the size of about 12 feet by 16 feet. All communication was by telephone or radio except for a small window. We were responsible for tracking all of the conventional and nuclear weapons on base. We did this using lighted plexiglass wall units that covered almost the entire room. Items were tracked in triplicate.

I had people who were placed in the control room from different aspects of the control process. I felt that any one of us who worked there needed to know everything that each team did so that we had overall knowledge of the entire process. I made each of my people spend time in each of the shops or work areas so that they understood what they were hearing about over the phone or radio when problems occurred. I am going to get into some detail here and will try to not get myself killed.

I still care about national security and don’t want to give anything away that might be used against us. So please understand I would feel better if I was standing right in front of you telling you this.

As you might know everything in the military is given a serial number or item number and it was our duty to keep track of them. Weapons are kept inside the WSA or weapons storage area. Each weapon is separate and tracked that way. It is also tracked as a whole complete weapon system. In other words, the warhead is one number the booster is another and so on and so on. Any item associated with a warhead is tracked as part of nuke surety.

For example if a warhead was down for maintenance we had to know about it. We had to know where that item was at all times. Daily briefings are held and I had to prepare the report for a staff meeting. Once I was asked to leave one of these meetings because my figures were wrong, and the Commander knew it. He was not happy with me and I got my ass chewed and made sure it never happened again.

So what I am trying to say is that everyone from the munitions control room to the maintenance technician, to the transport team, to the weapons load team to the aircraft crew chief to the pilot and crew would have to know that they were working with live nukes. There are procedures put in place to make sure that what has happened could never happen.

I know this also because I have worked loading both inert and live nukes on B-52s at Minot and _____. So now I am faced with the question why were all of these safety precautions by-passed. There must have been some secret mission approved by SAC HQ and this must have been a pretty big event to even transport and load those nukes in the first place.

I was told years ago that if I ever saw ALERT planes take off it meant that we were going to war. Something had to have gone wrong even if it was a special classified mission. I am having a very hard time with understanding all of the deaths associated with this. Even when information is leaked they could have come up with a cover story. Something is very wrong here.”

You can read Jack Carter’s article here: Jack Carter:
What really happened at Minot AFB

As for the deaths Jack mentioned above:

Todd Blue:

“Airman 1st Class Todd Blue went on leave days after the nuclear weapons were “lost.” Blue died under questionable timing while on leave, visiting his family in Wytheville, Virginia at the age of 20 on September 10, 2007. He was a response force member assigned to the 5th Security Forces Squadron. What does this mean?

Airman Todd Blue occupied a key position in weapons systems security at Minot. [14] At Minot U.S.A.F. Base the 5th Security Forces Squadron to which he belonged was responsible for base entry requirements and a particular section, the Weapons System Security section, was responsible for preventing the unauthorized removal of military property. The latter is responsible for security of all priority resources, meaning the security of nuclear weapons. In other words not only did the 5th Security Forces Squadron keep eyes on what entered and left Minot, but they kept an eye on and monitored the nuclear weapons.”

John Frueh:

“U.S. Air Force Captain John Frueh is another serviceman who could have been indirectly connected to the “lost” nuclear weapons. He was reported as being last seen with a GPS device, camera, and camcorder being carried with him in a backpack. Local police in Oregon and the F.B.I. seemed to be looking for him for days. His family also felt that something bad had happened to him.

On September 8, 2007 Captain Frueh was found dead in Washington State, near his abandoned rental car, after the Portland Police Department contacted the Skamania County Sheriff’s Officer. [15] The last time he spoke with his family was August 30, 2007. He had arrived from Florida to attend a wedding that he never showed up at. The Oregonian reported that “Authorities in Portland found no activity on his credit or bank cards since [Frueh] was last seen (…) [and that] the last call from his cell phone was made at 12:28 p.m. [August 30, 2007] from Mill Plain Boulevard and Interstate 205 in Vancouver [Washington State].” [16]

His background was in meteorology and the study of the atmosphere and weather. He was also reported to be a U.S. Air Force pararescue officer. [17] He was also a major-select candidate, which means he was selected for a promotion as a U.S. Air Force major, but was not officially promoted.

Captain Frueh belonged to the U.S.A.F. Special Operations Command. U.S.A.F. Special Operations Command has its headquarters in Hurlburt Field, Florida and is one of nine major Air Force commands. It is also the U.S. Air Force’s component of U.S. Special Operations Command, a unified command located at MacDill Air Force Base, which is also in Florida. The force provides special operations forces for worldwide deployment and assignment to regional unified commands, such as CENTCOM. Its missions include conduct of global special operations. These operations - and this is where careful attention should be paid - range from “precision application of firepower, such as nuclear weapons,” to infiltration, exfiltration (the removal of “devices,” supplies, spies, special agents, or units from enemy territory), re-supply and refuelling of special operational elements.

In Captain Frueh’s case his death is questionable too. The U.S. Air Force would not let a missing persons’ investigation go forward by the police without conducting its own investigation. Usually the different service branches of the U.S. military would investigate for missing servicemen, to see if these individuals are Absent Without Authorized Leave (AWAL) or have deserted, before an individual’s case is handed over to the police.”

Clint Huff, Linda Huff, and Weston Kissel:

:Another military weatherman, along with his wife, also died after August 30, 2007. Senior Airman Clint Huff, belonging to the 26th Operational Weather Squadron and his wife Linda Huff died in a motorcycle accident on September 15, 2007. [18] The husband and wife fatality happened on Shreveport-Blanchard Highway, near U.S.A.F. Base Barksdale, when according to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Officer a Pontiac Aztec, a medium-sized SUV, initiated a left turn at the same time that the couple attempted to pass on a no passing zone and collided.”

Weston Kissel:

“First-Lieutenant Weston Kissel, a B-52H Stratofortress Bomber pilot, also died in a reported Tennessee motorcycle accident. This was while he was on leave in, less than two months from the nuclear B-52 flights, on July 17, 2007. [20] His death came after another single-vehicle accident by another Minot serviceman, Senior Airman Adam Barrs.”

Adam Barrs and Stephen Garrett:

“Senior Airman Barrs died as a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Airman 1st Class

Adam Barrs”

“Stephen Garrett, also from Minot. Garrett, also belongs to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.”

“The death of Barrs was reported as being part of a single-vehicle car accident. Associated Press reports state that “[Minot] Base officials say 20-year-old Barrs was a passenger in a vehicle that failed to negotiate a curve, hit an approach, hit a tree and started on fire late Tuesday [July 3, 2007] night.” [22] Barrs was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident, while Garrett was taken the hospital with no updates released by the U.S. Air Force. Adam Barrs also belonged to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, where he was responsible for the maintenance and securing of the electronic communicational and navigation mission systems aboard the B-52H Stratofortresses on base. The 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron is also one of the units that are responsible for loading and unloading weaponry onto the B-52H Stratofortresses.”

“The deaths of Kissel and Barrs could be dismissed as irrelevant because they occurred prior to the incident. However, Barrs and Kissel could have been in one way or another connected to the advanced planning of the special operation, prior to the incident (special operations are not planned in a few days and may take months and even longer). There is, of course, no proof and only an independent investigation will be able to reveal whether these deaths are connected to the incident.”

“If there was an internal and secretive operation bypassing most military personnel, a few men in key positions would have to have been involved over a period of time prior to the August 29/30, 2007 flight. Senior Airman Barrs, due to his expertise in communication and navigational systems, could potentially have been involved in the preparations that would have allowed the nuclear weapons to escape detection by military surveillance and be ready for takeoff.”

Having been a “brother in arms”, for 26 years now, I can only state that what the Bush Admin. wants you to believe happened, didn’t happen.

The George W. Admin. tried to aquire these nukes to hit Iran.

Thanks to several patriots at Minot AFB George W’s plan was aborted.

T38 Crashes in North Texas

Filed under: Texas, Politics, General — Troubled @ 6:03 pm

Howdy Guys,

I wish I could talk you about better things in life, hopes and dreams, etc.

But a T-38 crash landed at Sheppard AFB this week killing both of the pilots.

A week ago a T-38 crashed at Colombus AFB.

I don’t have the specifics on that crash.

What I want you to understand is when a USAF Jet goes down the whole system, from maintanance to Ops, are frozen. Investigators comb through when the jet was put in to maintenance, what did the maintainers do? How was the preflight? etc.

My shop, everyone in the Munitions Storage Area, goes on alert, because the egress items that allow the pilot to escape are issued from our shop to the Egress shop.

Did we make a mistake? nobody will know until the investigation is done.

Howdy everybody,

Watch the video below.

This is what happens when Palestinians defend their land when Isreali Settlers show up.

Israel was supposed to look in hind sight and forgive their agressors. The Israelis are supposed to believe in God. It’s obvious these Israeli Settlers don’t believe in God.

The Israeli Settlers are actually creating a holocaust against the Palestinians.

I originally posted some pretty nasty words here against Israel.

After having time to think about what I posted I realized that not all Israelis support their government’s extermination of the Palastinians. To those Israelis I would like to say thank you.

For those Jews and Israelis who support the extermination of the Palistinians you will all rot in Hell.

A Funny Thing Happened to me on the Way to the Met Tonight

Filed under: Family, Texas, Iraq, Politics — Troubled @ 5:02 pm

Hey Ya’ll,

Well, honestly I don’t know a Met from a Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

I got a call from my mother tonight. To understand the absurdity of the situation you have to understand that I’m 45 years old, my mother is 71, and I haven’t lived at my mother’s address for twenty five years.

To add to that absurd situation my mother lives in Missouri and I live in Texas.

So, your asking, Troubled, what the Hell are you talking about?

When I spoke to my mother on the phone tonight she told me that she received mail addressed to me from two major credit card holder banks. Both of which I’ve never had an account with. I asked her to open the letters and read to me the text of the letters. She read the text and both of them were for me to receive a credit card for a limit of $25,000 dollars.

I have a couple of questions I need to ask here.

How is it possible for two financial institutions to send to my mother credit card applications adressed to me when I haven’t lived in her house for 25 years?

How is it possible that two financial institutions that I’ve had no contact with ever believes that I still live with my mother?

Folks, are you starting to see what I’m seeing here?

Think about this ok.

The housing bubble bursts. A record number of mortgage foreclosures. The US government bails out several financial institutions who have bet their very existence on these ponzi schemes to include Washington Mutual. But it’s ok we’ll get our government stimulation check on time.

The nation’s airlines are FUBAR thanks to the FAA. Airlines are going into bankcuptcy dailey.

The price of gas and oil have quadrupled since 2001. Yet the oil companies rake in billions of dollars of profit every quarter.

Jobs that were originally worked by Americans are being sent over seas by the thousands.

Now let me ask you this question. If you were a financial institution working in the US today might you not have a problem finding your customers?
